Traditional Chinese Medicine Guiluyisui Capsule Gains Remarkable Curative Effect on Treatment of multiple sclerosis

Multiple sclerosis is a common demyelinating disease of the nervous system, and it is also a kind of autoimmune disease combined with genetic susceptibility individual and environmental factors. The clinical manifestations are limb weakness, gait instability, even paralysis and numbness of limb, pain, zonesthesia in waist and back, unclearness to see objects and other symptoms. The study of traditional Chinese medicine Guiluyisui Capsule developed by the research group of the department of myelopahty of Yiling Hospital affiliated to Hebei Medical University according to pathogenesis of disseminated sclerosis and clinical experience over the years shows that it can regulate immune mechanism of body disorders by way of reducing the activation opportunity of lymphocyte and preventing the activated lymphocytes from invading into the brain and spinal cord, so as to achieve the prevention and treatment of cerebral and spinal cord inflammation reaction and demyelination changes.

The clinical comparative observation displays that in the aspect of improving symptoms the obvious efficacy of the treatment group with application of Guilu Yisui capsule was 20.00%. The total effective rate was 91.67%; while the obvious efficacy of the control group with the application of Western medicine treatment was 6.66% and the total efficiency was 53.33%. In the aspect of improving neurological dysfunction: the efficiency rate of the treatment group was 11.67% and the total effective rate was 78.34% while the efficiency rate of the control group was 3.33% and the total effective rate was 46.67%. The patients were followed up for 2 to 2.5 years. It showed that the patients with the disease treated with Guilu Yisui capsule can reduce the times of recurrence and decrease the recurrence rate. Therefore, they have found a relatively ideal method for the treatment of world difficult disease of multiple sclerosis by the treatment of traditional Chinese medicine therapy.
